[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 31st that it will produce and distribute a home treatment guide video to help COVID-19 home treatment patients easily understand and follow the treatment process and lifestyle guidelines.
The guide video, approximately 10 minutes long, includes an introduction to overall home treatment, instructions on how to use the home treatment kit such as thermometers and oxygen saturation meters, emergency response methods, lifestyle rules to follow, waste disposal methods, and how to use health management and quarantine management apps.
In particular, detailed guidance on the ‘Living Treatment Center and Home Treatment Non-face-to-face Medical Service’ app for health management and the ‘Self-quarantine Safety Protection App’ for quarantine management will help mobile-vulnerable groups easily utilize home treatment-related apps.
The video can be viewed on the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s YouTube channel, downloaded from the information bulletin board by category on the Seoul Metropolitan Government website, and used with source attribution, but commercial use is prohibited. It is available on the Seoul Metropolitan Government website under Information by Category > Welfare > Life Health Care > COVID-19 > COVID-19 Promotional Materials Bulletin Board.
In January next year, versions with Korean Sign Language interpretation and foreign language subtitles will be additionally distributed to improve information accessibility for the home treatment guide video.
