The retirees this time include Hwang Gyu-jong, Chief of Uichang District Office; Oh Seong-taek, Chief of Seongsan District Office; Choi Young-cheol, Chief of Masanhappo District Office; Choi In-ju, Chief of Jinhae District Office; Shim Jae-wook, Director of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau; Lee Jeong-geun, Director of the Environment and Urban Bureau; Shin In-cheol, Director of the Library Business Office, and 66 others.
The retirement ceremony was attended by one Grade 3 official, six Grade 4 officials, two Grade 5 officials, and eight spouses of retired public officials, considering the COVID-19 social distancing level.
The ceremony proceeded with a video screening expressing the juniors' regrets and support, followed by the awarding of plaques of appreciation to the retirees who devoted their lives to the development of the nation and local community, and a meeting to share final thoughts with Mayor Heo Seong-mu.
On behalf of the retirees, Chief Hwang said, "Looking back, the 35 years passed really quickly," adding, "Although I am leaving the place I was attached to, I will always support the city administration and be a strong pillar loving the junior public officials."
