90% of Chungnam Innovative Companies "Satisfied with Policy Fund Support"
[Asia Economy (Hongseong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The majority of innovative companies in the Chungnam region responded that they are 'satisfied' with the policy fund support from Chungnam Province.
The province announced on the 29th that, as a result of a survey conducted on beneficiary companies of the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Development Fund support during the first and second quarters, 90% of the responding companies expressed satisfaction with the support.
The survey was conducted on 161 companies that received innovative-type funds and technology innovation-type funds as part of the SME Development Fund.
Among the 71 companies that participated in the survey regarding innovative-type funds, 90.1% were satisfied with this year’s policy funds supported by the province for SME development (50.7% very satisfied, 39.4% satisfied), and the satisfaction rate for the technology innovation-type management stabilization funds reached 96.9%.
In particular, after receiving fund support, the average number of employees per company increased by 6 compared to before the support, and the average sales per company increased by 1 billion KRW.
Among the companies that participated in the survey, Top Co., Ltd., located in Cheonan and producing secondary batteries, saw its sales increase from 200 million KRW before receiving funds this year to 1.5 billion KRW after support. The number of employees at this company increased from 4 to 11, showing the highest growth rate among the responding companies.
As the reason for utilizing the province’s policy funds, 81% of all responding companies cited the ability to obtain loans at low interest rates.

A provincial official stated, “The survey was conducted to analyze the effectiveness, utilization, satisfaction, and issues in the support process of the province’s policy funds in order to improve the SME Development Fund support policy. Based on the survey results, we will actively reflect the diverse opinions of companies in future support policies.”
