Naju City Hall 'Temporary Closure'... Employee Confirmed with COVID-19
[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yuk-bong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Kang In-gyu) will temporarily close the main government office building and annex on the 29th for one day to prevent further spread following a COVID-19 infection among employees within the office.
According to the Naju City Health Center on the same day, local confirmed COVID-19 cases numbered 474 to 479, including one employee within the office.
Accordingly, access to the main government office and annex buildings will be restricted for outsiders.
The Citizen Service Division will operate normally while strictly adhering to quarantine guidelines to facilitate civil complaints.
The health authorities set up two screening clinics in the government office parking lot on the morning of the day to conduct COVID-19 PCR tests for all main office employees, city hall daycare workers and children, as well as external office and eup/myeon/dong employees who had contact with confirmed employees from the 27th to 29th.
Employees who underwent testing, except for essential personnel handling civil complaints by department, will work from home until test results are notified.
Employees who had close contact with confirmed cases will be quarantined at home for 14 days regardless of test results.
The city has activated an emergency response headquarters and conducted urgent disinfection of all government office buildings while remaining vigilant against additional confirmed cases.
