[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Lotte Chemical is launching a credit card applying the antimicrobial material 'Everban' in collaboration with Lotte Card.
Lotte Chemical announced that the 'Lotte Department Store Living by Lola Lotte Card' credit card will be issued starting from the 29th.
Everban, an antiviral plastic material jointly researched, developed, and performance-evaluated with Korea University Medical Center, is a plastic material that suppresses bacteria, mold, and viruses. It incorporates a comprehensive antimicrobial platform technology that addresses consumer concerns about hygiene and safety and protects against various infections in daily life.
Lotte Chemical collaborated with card manufacturers to meet all basic physical properties required for cards, such as extrudability, adhesiveness, and cyan visibility. They explained that with this card application as a starting point, Everban can be applied to various uses including interior materials, medical equipment sensitive to hygiene and safety, frequently touched door handles, elevator films, and deco sheets.
