The appointed advisory committee members include National Assembly member Park Su-young, Busan Nam-gu District Mayor Park Jae-beom, Busan City Council member Yoon Ji-young, Busan City Youth Industry-Academia Startup Bureau Director Go Mi-ja, Busan City Marine Fisheries Bureau Director Kim Hyun-jae, Korean Veterinary Medical Association President Heo Ju-hyung, Busan Veterinary Medical Association President Lee Young-rak, Gyeongsang National University College of Veterinary Medicine Alumni Association President Cho Yang-rae, Gyeongsang National University College of Veterinary Medicine Dean Go Pil-ok, Yeonam University Professor Lee Woong-jong, Future Pet Grooming Academy CEO Kim Tae-gyun, People&Pet Food Executive Director Kim Jong-tae, and Busan Design Promotion Agency Support Headquarters Director Park Jae-hyun, totaling 13 members.
Busan City, Dongmyung University, and Gyeongsang National University formed a collaborative research team for the ‘Attracting a university hospital-level animal hospital within the Dongmyung University campus’ and began activities by spring 2022.
The research team analyzes the feasibility and economic viability of establishing the animal hospital.
President Jeon Ho-hwan introduced, “Dongmyung University will provide the land for the animal hospital, and the national Gyeongsang National University will construct the animal hospital building with government funding.”
President Jeon said, “Attracting the Gyeongsang National University Animal Hospital, which will serve as a hub for Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam, will make things more convenient for pet owners and greatly help in training specialized personnel for companion animals.”
Dongmyung University and Gyeongsang National University signed an agreement on September 16 to build the animal hospital within the Dongmyung University campus.

Mayor Park Hyung-joon responded to the request for administrative and financial support for building the animal hospital on the Dongmyung University campus and establishing a comprehensive companion animal department, saying, “We will actively support the establishment of a comprehensive animal hospital within the university to advance high-level medical services for pet-owning households.”
