[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Intern Reporter Lee Se-ryeong] Sangju City in Gyeongbuk has won numerous awards this year in various policy evaluations conducted by the central government and Gyeongsangbuk-do.
Sangju City received awards in a total of 41 categories, with 15 from central government evaluations and 26 from Gyeongsangbuk-do evaluations. Additionally, it earned prize money of 54 million KRW and project funds amounting to 170 million KRW.
In the central government evaluations, the city won 2 grand prizes, 5 excellence awards, and 1 encouragement award. In the provincial-level evaluations, it received 2 grand prizes, 9 top excellence awards, 12 excellence awards, and 2 encouragement awards.
The city was honored with awards such as being selected as an outstanding institution for proposal activation by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, an excellent institution for autumn road maintenance by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and an outstanding institution for the return-to-farming and return-to-village attraction support project by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
Major awards received at the provincial level include the grand prize in the comprehensive evaluation of livestock work for cities and counties, the grand prize in the excellent city and county evaluation for agricultural food export policies, and the top excellence award in the regulatory reform performance evaluation.
