NongHyup Bank, First Commercial Bank to Introduce 'Disinfection Pin Pad'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] NH Nonghyup Bank announced on the 29th that it will operate the first 'Disinfection Pin Pad' among commercial banks to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and ensure safe financial transactions for customers.
The 'Disinfection Pin Pad' automatically uses ultraviolet (UV-C) LED to completely eliminate bacteria and viruses in a short time after the customer finishes entering their password on the keypad. It is designed with safety in mind so that ultraviolet rays are not directly exposed to the user. The UV-C LED, the main material, overcomes the drawbacks of UV lamps such as short lifespan, environmental pollution risks, and size limitations, and selectively emits the optimal short wavelength for sterilization.
