Fire in Underground Parking Lot in Songpa-gu, Seoul... Over 100 Evacuated
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] At 12:54 PM on the 28th, a fire broke out in the underground level 1 parking lot of a 21-story building in Bangi-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, and the fire authorities are conducting extinguishing operations.
About 100 people evacuated due to this fire, and no casualties have been reported so far. The underground parking levels 1 to 4 of the building are mechanical parking lots, which are said to be structures where people cannot enter.
At around 1:40 PM, the fire authorities issued a Level 1 response by dispatching all personnel from the local fire station and mobilized 198 firefighters and 58 vehicles to extinguish the fire while working to ventilate the smoke inside the underground parking lot to the outside.
