Regarding meeting with former President Park, he said, "In a situation where her health recovery is the priority, would it be appropriate for me to visit her saying I want to see her for the sake of her health recovery?" and added, "Right now, I only hope for the speedy recovery of former President Park's health."

Yoon also mentioned the pardon of former President Lee Myung-bak. He said, "I understand that former President Lee is older than former President Park and is in poor health," and added, "Regarding this matter, we should not judge solely based on current public opinion polls. When the constitution grants the president the power of pardon, it is probably given for the future development of the country and future national unity, so it should be judged from that perspective."
