MedicBioNK Signs 'Personal Identification' Technology Transfer Contract... "Entering DNA-Based Avatar Business"
[Asia Economy Reporter Park So-yeon] MedicBioNK, a company specializing in anticancer drugs, announced on the 28th that it held a 'Personal Identification (DNA typing) Technology Transfer Agreement and Research Cooperation Signing Ceremony' with Dong-A University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation.
Through this agreement, the two institutions plan to ▲ develop personal identification (DNA typing) technology using minisatellites ▲ transfer two patents related to personal identification ▲ engage in mutual cooperation including personnel exchange, education, business, and seminars.
The personal identification technology using minisatellites enables efficient identification using only peripheral blood or oral epithelial cells without expensive equipment, utilizing common DNA amplification devices (PCR) and simple electrophoresis apparatus.
It also provides both robust and flexible encryption capabilities for paternity and kinship verification as well as cryptocurrency encryption.
Kim Min-seok, CEO of MedicBioNK, said, "Through this agreement, we expect to explore the possibility of entering various industries such as new bio-metaverse business models by integrating DNA fingerprint recognition in the metaverse business area."
