The prize money was fully donated as a scholarship fund for nurturing local talent.
Yeongyang County announced on the 27th that it won the Excellence Award by achieving outstanding results in the 2021 Gyeongsangbuk-do Civil Administration Performance Evaluation.
Gyeongbuk Province selects and awards institutions with excellent civil administration service performance and public officials with distinguished achievements. This evaluation is conducted annually to boost the morale of civil service officers and improve public services.
Previously, Yeongyang County appointed seven members of the Civil Complaints Response Citizen Evaluation Group to realize an open county administration that empathizes and communicates with residents. The positive evaluation was led by policies where these members assessed the civil complaint response levels of all departments and by establishing the province’s first ‘Overdue Civil Complaints Speed Index System’ to shorten the civil complaint processing period.
The General Civil Complaints Division plans to donate the entire prize money of 1 million won to the Yeongyang County Talent Development Scholarship Foundation. Last year, they also donated the entire prize money of 500,000 won to the scholarship foundation.
