According to the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration on the 27th, the first ice formation of this winter was observed at Sandonggyo Bridge on the Yeongsan River in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, a seasonal observation site for river and stream ice formation.
The ice observation point is within approximately 10 meters downstream of piers 2 to 3 of Sandonggyo Bridge.
The lowest temperature in Gwangju the previous day dropped to minus 8.3 degrees Celsius, and the lowest temperature that morning was minus 7.7 degrees Celsius, showing a significant temperature drop.
