Hampyeong-gun Achieves 'Excellent Institution' for 6 Consecutive Years in Food Culture Improvement Project Evaluation
[Hampyeong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Hampyeong-gun achieved the great feat of being selected as an excellent institution for six consecutive years in the ‘Food Culture Improvement Project Performance Evaluation’ hosted by Jeonnam Province.
According to the county on the 27th, Jeonnam Province annually evaluates and awards 22 cities and counties based on their performance in establishing a food culture improvement promotion system, implementing a hygiene rating system for restaurants, and other related indicators to improve food culture.
In this evaluation, Hampyeong-gun received high marks for discovering and promoting various new hygiene management policies to create a safe food culture, earning an excellent institution award along with a prize of 10 million won.
The county supports cleanliness campaigns targeting local restaurants, as well as consulting on personal hygiene and kitchen management. In addition, it has strengthened restaurant hygiene management by implementing facility improvements such as kitchens and restrooms, along with a project supporting the installation of table seating.
Furthermore, together with the Hampyeong-gun branch of the food service industry, it conducts year-round training on courteous service and cleanliness campaigns for food service workers.
In particular, considering the COVID-19 situation, it focused on strengthening safety management and simultaneously carried out infectious disease prevention activities, receiving favorable evaluations.
