[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju City announced on the 27th that it will hold the '2021 Village Community Performance Sharing Meeting' at the Buk-gu Happiness Harmony Center from the 28th to the 30th.
This performance sharing meeting will be held under the theme "Past autonomy is history, future sharing is innovation, and today's village is a gift," featuring exhibitions and events such as ▲a photo exhibition on 20 years of resident autonomy ▲promotion of sharing activities and village agendas ▲sharing of village autonomy achievements.
Despite the difficult situation due to COVID-19 this year, Buk-gu established future plans for all 28 neighborhoods, with residents directly identifying and solving village agendas, striving to realize grassroots resident autonomy.
In particular, at the 20th National Resident Autonomy Expo, Buk-gu received honors including four grand prizes, one autonomy decentralization award, and one encouragement award, achieving the honor of winning awards for 20 consecutive years.
Additionally, through the integrated public contest for village communities in Gwangju and the Buk-gu village community support project, a total of 124 projects were supported with 748 million KRW, making it the most active village community project promoter among autonomous districts in Gwangju.
As part of sharing activities, Buk-gu focused on spreading sharing culture by operating a school uniform sharing market and an online sharing economy academy, and was selected as the best institution for two consecutive years in the '2021 Public Resource Opening and Public Service' evaluation hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
Director Moon said, "We will continue to expand village community participation and establish a sustainable village autonomy foundation to create a happy Buk-gu where grassroots autonomy is realized."
