Assemblyman Lee Hyung-seok Secures Additional 460 Million KRW in Special Local Tax from Ministry of the Interior and Safety

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Rep. Lee Hyung-seok (Democratic Party of Korea, Gwangju Buk-gu Eul) announced on the 27th that he has additionally secured 460 million KRW in special grants from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
The newly secured special grants will be allocated to two projects: 200 million KRW for installing CCTV for regional crime prevention and 260 million KRW for seismic reinforcement of the Dongnim-dong Administrative Welfare Center.
The crime prevention CCTVs are planned to be installed at ▲Jinro Apartment Intersection in Ilgok-dong ▲around Yehyang Church in Samgak-dong ▲around Habaek Elementary School in Maegok-dong ▲Elliche Apartment Intersection in Yongbong-dong ▲the intersection near Gwangju Private Taxi Credit Union in Yongbong-dong ▲Bitgoeul Neighborhood Park in Sinyong-dong ▲around Cheongam Apartment in Yangsan-dong. It is expected that residents' safety in daily life will be significantly enhanced.
Additionally, with recent earthquakes occurring near Jeju Island waters, seismic reinforcement of the Dongnim-dong Administrative Welfare Center is expected to improve the safety of the facility.
Rep. Lee said, “After securing the special grants from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety earlier this month, additional needs for disaster and safety preparedness in the region were identified, making it necessary to secure a supplementary budget. I expect that securing additional special grants from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety at the end of the year will further improve the safety of local residents' daily lives.”

Rep. Lee has secured special grants totaling 4.66 billion KRW for 11 projects this year alone, and since entering the 21st National Assembly one and a half years ago, he has achieved a total of 6.86 billion KRW in special grants for 14 projects.
