HiteJinro, Year-End Gifts for Residents of Jjokbangchon

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] HiteJinro is stepping up to help residents of jjokbangchon (tiny room villages) and homeless people who struggle to endure the cold winter due to poor housing conditions.
To support a warm winter, HiteJinro announced that it will sequentially deliver 10,000 hot packs and 3,000 servings of nutritious galbitang (beef rib soup) to five major jjokbang counseling centers in Seoul (Seoul Station, Yeongdeungpo, Changsin-dong, Namdaemun, and Donui-dong) from the 23rd to the 27th.
Since signing a joint cooperation agreement with the Seoul Metropolitan Government in 2013 on "Cold Wave and Heat Wave Response and Protection Activities for Housing-Vulnerable Groups," HiteJinro has continuously supported supplies and relief services for nine years. In June, it provided 64,000 bottles of water, and in August, 28,500 servings of samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup).
