[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Intern Reporter Lee Seryeong] Sangju City, Gyeongbuk Province, will provide entrance preparation funds to new middle and high school students in the region starting next year to realize educational welfare and reduce the burden of education expenses.
Next year, 1,600 students entering middle and high schools will receive 300,000 KRW each as entrance preparation funds, which can be used to purchase necessary school supplies such as uniforms and smart devices for remote classes.
The city enacted an ordinance to support entrance preparation funds in June and reflected the project budget in the 2022 main budget.
