Citizens Braving Weekend Cold to Visit Testing Sites
On the 26th, when most regions nationwide experienced the lowest temperatures of this winter, citizens continued to visit COVID-19 screening centers across Seoul to get tested. In front of the testing sites set up at Seoul City Hall and Seoul Station Plaza, people waited for their turn, huddled up and keeping distance from each other. Although there were vinyl tents to block the cold wind, some had to wait outside the tents due to the long lines. On this day, there were 5,419 new confirmed cases, 423 fewer than the previous day. The number of critically ill patients remained above 1,000 for the sixth consecutive day, totaling 1,081. Here are some photos from the scene.
