According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 26th, patient number Gwangju6788, who was receiving treatment at Chonnam National University Hospital around 10 PM on the 24th, passed away. This patient was in their 80s and was confirmed positive on the 11th.
Subsequently, around 2 PM on the 25th, another patient in their 80s receiving treatment at Bitgoeul Jeonbuk National University Hospital also died. This patient was infected on the 23rd and passed away within two days.
Gwangju City will conduct funerals following COVID-19 funeral guidelines, with cremation performed first, followed by the funeral. Funeral expenses will be fully covered by the national government.
