Hankook Tire Model Solution Unveils Head-Mounted AR Devices at CES
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyewon] Model Solution, a subsidiary of Hankook & Company Group (formerly Hankook Tire Group), announced on the 26th that it will showcase new augmented reality (AR) products at 'CES 2022,' the world's largest IT and electronics exhibition, held in Las Vegas, USA, from the 5th to the 8th of next month.
Model Solution plans to unveil an industrial 'AR HMD' prototype developed in mass production version in collaboration with AR software specialist company Ginotech.
The AR HMD, which was also revealed at CES 2021 earlier this year, is a headset-type augmented reality display device designed to allow workers to receive operational guidelines for equipment on-site through a display worn on the head while working.
Designed with consideration for the field of view and comfort of industrial site workers, it also won the German 'iF Design Award 2021.'
Model Solution will also showcase the world’s first new concept motion player 'XTA,' developed in collaboration with motion simulator specialist company Gama Co., Ltd. XTA is a chair-type device that helps users enjoy racing games, movies, videos, music, and live streaming sports more realistically.
