Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomeos I Tests Positive for COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jae-hee] Bartholomew I, the head of the Orthodox Church and Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople (Istanbul), has tested positive for COVID-19.
According to dpa news agency on the 24th (local time), the Patriarchate issued a statement saying, "Bartholomew I is currently showing mild symptoms, and his condition is stable."
Bartholomew I, who is 81 years old this year, has been vaccinated against COVID-19.
