Tuberculosis is a respiratory infectious disease, and in South Korea, 38.8 people per 100,000 suffer from it, ranking first in incidence and third in mortality among OECD member countries.
The Korean Tuberculosis Association supports vulnerable groups and student tuberculosis patients through the annual Christmas Seal fundraising campaign. The provincial Office of Education delivers tuberculosis eradication funds every year to raise awareness about tuberculosis and promotes voluntary participation within the educational community.
