Goheung-gun, Final Promotion Personnel Changes of the 7th Elected Term Implemented
Approval of Promotion for 50 Personnel Including 2 Seogwan and 8 Samugwan
Balanced by Ability, Experience, and Job Series... Highlighting 'Fair and Balanced' Personnel Management
[Goheung=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shim Jeong-woo] Jeonnam Goheung-gun (Governor Song Gwi-geun) announced on the 24th that it has carried out the final promotion personnel appointment of the 7th local government administration.
According to the county, due to vacancies caused by retirement for service and honorary retirement, a total of 50 people from grade 4, grade 5, and below grade 6 were approved for promotion on the 23rd.
Two people, including Go Young-jae, Head of the Fair Permit Division, were promoted to grade 4, and eight people, including Ryu Yong-seok, Head of the Regional Economy Team, were promoted to grade 5.
In addition, 8 people at grade 6, 12 people at grade 7, and 20 people at grade 8, totaling 40 people below grade 7, were included in the promotion list.
By job series, promotions were evenly distributed across 12 job series: 24 in administration, 7 in facilities, 4 in social welfare, 2 each in agriculture, marine fisheries, green space, environment, health, and medical technology, and 1 each in industry, taxation, and driving.
In particular, as a measure to consider minority job series that had been excluded from promotions so far, the industrial job series with many grade 6 employees was promoted to grade 5, producing the first industrial job officer in Goheung-gun's personnel history.
Governor Song attracted attention by pledging “fair and clean personnel management” even before taking office.
In the personnel appointments made so far, the message of “fairness,” “rationality,” and “balance” has been shown, and many public officials and residents recognize this as the “Governor Song-style” personnel management.
In the recent comprehensive evaluation of public institution integrity announced by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, Goheung-gun received a grade 4, but in the personnel field, it scored 9.23 out of 10 points, proving it to be among the top nationwide.
The reason for the high score in the personnel field appears to be the widespread perception among public officials that Governor Song has thoroughly kept his clean pledge declared during his candidacy, stating that he would not accept even one won related to personnel matters.
Since the 7th local government administration, 406 people have been promoted, accounting for 50% of the total staff, and even public officials with political tendencies during the previous governor's term have been promoted or appointed to key positions, receiving evaluations as inclusive personnel management.
Governor Song said, “I will continue to completely exclude personnel requests and establish personnel management based on ability and work, creating a public service culture where hardworking public officials are favored.”
