'SRT App', 170,000 Daily Users "Positioned as Korea's Leading Transportation App"
"Praised for User-Centered Services Such as Large Fonts"
The ‘SRT App,’ which has introduced various non-face-to-face services, was selected as the smartphone app category winner in the ‘2021 Asia Economy Hit Product of the Year.’ This is the result of SRT operator SR strengthening non-face-to-face services to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and introducing various features such as train time changes, boarding location guidance, easy payment, and large font in the SRT App.
Since its launch in 2016, the SRT App significantly improved its service last December by enhancing user-centered design and adding new features such as the ‘Large Font Service.’ In May of this year, biometric authentication login services using fingerprint and Face ID were introduced to strengthen customer information security. Additionally, in June, the ‘Train Time Change’ service, which allows users to change train times without penalty, and the ‘Boarding Location Guidance’ service, which lets users check their boarding platform number, were added to greatly enhance customer convenience.
Through these efforts, the ‘SRT App,’ used by 6.7 million SRT members, has established itself as Korea’s representative transportation app with an average of 170,000 daily users. In November, it played a significant role in reaching a cumulative total of 100 million users within five years of SRT’s opening.
