Gochang-gun Implements 'Special Quarantine Measures' Until January 2 Next Year
[Gochang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeonbuk Gochang-gun (Governor Yu Gisang) announced on the 23rd that it will implement special measures to strengthen quarantine during the year-end and New Year holidays in relation to COVID-19.
The special quarantine measures period is from today until January 2 of next year.
The county established a Home Treatment TF Team (Disaster Safety Division) and a Health Management TF Team (Health Center), supporting a total of 7 administrative personnel.
Through this, some health center tasks were suspended to focus entirely on COVID-19 response work.
In particular, an additional temporary screening clinic was installed at the indoor gymnasium in Gochang-eup to actively allow diagnostic testing regardless of symptom presence.
The temporary screening clinic operates daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
They plan to identify asymptomatic confirmed cases as quickly as possible to break the chain of infection.
Furthermore, during the special quarantine measures period, the Gochang-gun Quarantine Countermeasures Headquarters will expand the epidemiological investigation teams from the existing 4 teams with 23 members to 9 teams with 120 members.
Governor Yu Gisang said, “I ask all residents to join in overcoming the COVID-19 crisis so that we can spend the year-end and New Year holidays safely by putting in a little more effort.”
