Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation Donates 'Love Rice' Worth 10 Million Won to Local Children's Centers
[Asia Economy (Anyang) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation donated rice worth 10 million won to local children's centers.
The foundation announced on the 23rd that it held a 'Sharing Love Rice Event' for children in the local community on the 22nd at the House of Peace located in Anyang City.
The event was jointly planned by the foundation and Brothers Keeper, a social enterprise in the province, and a total of rice worth 10 million won was delivered to three locations including the House of Peace, and local children's centers in Gimpo City and Gunpo City.
Brothers Keeper is a youth enterprise that promotes landscaping projects and other activities to provide stable jobs and emotional independence for youth aging out of care. Brothers Keeper received favorable reviews last April for completing a nature-friendly rest area during the foundation's book cafe construction.
Je Yoon-kyung, CEO of the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation, said, "This is an important time for the social role and responsibility of public institutions, so we prepared social contribution activities in cooperation with the local community," adding, "Although it is a difficult time due to COVID-19 and other challenges, I hope this event can help provide a warmer and happier winter even if just a little."
