According to the quarantine authorities, Seoul city, and other local governments, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases testing positive nationwide by 9 PM was 5,308, which is 1,141 fewer than the same time the previous day (6,449).
This is 1,256 fewer than the number of confirmed cases at 9 PM one week ago on the 15th (6,564).
The total number of confirmed cases for the 22nd, which will be compiled and announced by midnight, is expected to reach the 6,000 range.
As of 9 PM, the new confirmed cases are 3,722 (70.1%) in the metropolitan area and 1,586 (29.9%) in non-metropolitan areas.
