On the 22nd, Ko Jae-young, Crisis Communication Team Leader of the Central Disease Control Headquarters, stated at a back briefing, "From January 3 next year, a 6-month validity period will be applied to the quarantine pass, and when the smartphone QR code is scanned and the quarantine pass validity period has expired, a warning sound will be emitted."
Team Leader Ko said, "There will be a voice guide, and when the warning sound rings upon expiration of the validity period, facility managers and others will be relieved from the effort of checking one by one."
He explained, "Currently, only the Korea Disease Control Agency's COOV app can check the elapsed days after the second vaccination," and added, "In the future, we are negotiating with private platforms such as Kakao, Naver, Toss, and telecom pass apps to allow checking the elapsed days after the second vaccination."
