Naju-si Selected as 'Best Institution' in Education and Training Evaluation by Jeonnam Province

[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Kang In-gyu) announced on the 22nd that it was selected as the best institution in the ‘2021 Education and Training Work Excellence City/County Evaluation’ hosted by Jeollanam-do and received the Governor’s Commendation.

The city achieved the great success of being selected as the best institution, one step higher than last year’s excellent institution, through the results of promoting various work education aimed at strengthening the capabilities of public officials to respond to rapidly changing administrative demands.

In this year’s evaluation, it received higher scores than other cities/counties in all areas, including the number of graduates compared to the education plan and the number of new public officials who completed pre-assignment training.

The city conducted a demand survey for self-development education for all public officials to establish and implement an education and training plan to cultivate desirable public service values, creativity, job expertise, and problem-solving skills.

In addition, various in-house education programs such as telephone foreign language education and new employee job and aptitude training improved employees’ work capabilities and received great responses.

A city official said, “In order to successfully implement various policies that meet the rapidly changing administrative demands and citizens’ expectations, strengthening the capabilities of public officials must come first. We plan to continue supporting many employees to participate in high-quality education courses.”
