US Academy Shortlist Announced... 'Mogadishu' Not Selected

'Mogadishu' was submitted as the representative Korean film but did not make the shortlist for Best International Feature Film.
In this category, at the 92nd Academy Awards held in February 2020, director Bong Joon-ho's 'Parasite' won, becoming the first Korean film to win Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay, achieving four awards in total.
At the 93rd Academy Awards, actress Youn Yuh-jung won Best Supporting Actress for the film 'Minari' (director Lee Isaac Chung).
The Academy Awards, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, are the largest film awards in the United States, judged based on films screened for more than a week in Los Angeles (LA) theaters.
