Namyangju City to Provide 100,000 Won to 'Military Enlistment Citizens' Starting Next Year
Payment of Enlistment Support Fund with Local Currency (Namyangju Sarang Gift Certificate)
[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] Namyangju City in Gyeonggi Province will provide a 100,000 KRW enlistment support fund to Namyangju citizens who enlist as active-duty soldiers or social service agents starting next year.
On the 21st, the city announced, "To encourage young people to fulfill their military service obligations, we enacted the 'Namyangju City Enlistment Support Fund Ordinance' last April."
The recipients are active-duty soldiers or social service agents who have been registered residents of Namyangju for more than one year as of the application date and have received an enlistment (mobilization) notice.
From January 3rd next year until the day before enlistment, applicants can submit their ID and enlistment (mobilization) notice to their local eup, myeon, or dong office to receive the enlistment support fund in local currency (Namyangju Sarang Gift Certificate).
