Shinhan Bank Opens 'AI Concierge'... "Effortlessly Guides Customers at Reception"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Shinhan Bank announced on the 21st that it will introduce the 'AI Concierge,' a new concept business guidance service device utilizing AI technology for the first time in the financial sector, at the Seosomun Digilog Branch.
The AI Concierge, unlike the existing ticket issuing machines, is 190cm tall and features a 65-inch display. It uses technologies such as facial recognition, thermal imaging cameras, and voice recognition microphones to welcome and guide customers.
Additionally, Shinhan Bank introduced a large screen to improve the difficulties elderly customers face when using kiosks, enabling easier and friendlier service guidance through natural conversation, making it more accessible and convenient for senior customers.
In particular, the AI Concierge also provides various lifestyle information such as exchange rates, weather, and fine dust levels to help visiting customers become more familiar and comfortable with using kiosks.
Along with the introduction of the AI Concierge device, Shinhan Bank is expanding the scope of services using AI bankers. In September this year, AI bankers applying video synthesis and voice recognition technologies were used for customer services such as greetings and menu searches. From the 22nd, frequent financial transactions like account transfers and certificate issuance will also be possible at the digital desk, a video consultation window.
