According to the Korea Film Council's integrated ticketing system, over the three-day weekend (17th-19th), 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' attracted 1,743,184 viewers, securing the number one spot at the box office. The cumulative audience reached 2,770,169, with 31,425 screenings across 2,946 screens during this period.
'Spider-Man: No Way Home' is a Marvel action blockbuster depicting the story of Spider-Man Peter Parker (Tom Holland), whose identity is exposed. While seeking help from Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) to solve the problem, the multiverse unexpectedly opens, bringing adversaries from different dimensions such as Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina), leading to the worst crisis ever.
It opened on the 15th with 635,104 viewers, marking the highest opening since the pandemic, and by the fourth day, it had attracted 2 million viewers, showing strong interest.
In second place was Disney's animation 'Encanto' with 23,000 viewers. Released on the 24th of last month, it has drawn 580,362 viewers, showing a significant gap between first and second place.
'Love Without Romance,' watched by 19,720 people, took third place, followed by the action thriller 'Spiritwalker' in fourth.
Additionally, the Netflix film 'Don't Look Up' ranked sixth, and the animation 'Lara and the Christmas Fairy' entered seventh place.
