One Month After Drone Attack, US Prime Minister's Residence Hit by Rocket Attack
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] The 'Green Zone,' where the Iraqi Prime Minister's residence and the U.S. Embassy are located, was targeted in a rocket attack.
On the 19th (local time), according to foreign media, the Iraqi military authorities issued a statement saying, "The Baghdad Green Zone was targeted by two Katyusha rockets, and no casualties occurred."
The Iraqi military explained that one of the two rockets was intercepted by the Counter Rocket, Artillery, and Mortar (C-RAM) defense system, and the other landed about 500 meters away from the U.S. Embassy. The military added that two vehicles were damaged as the rocket that was not intercepted landed in the area.

It is reported that no group has yet claimed responsibility for this attack. The rocket attack on the Green Zone occurred about a month after the drone attack on Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi's residence. In July, the U.S. Embassy was also targeted by two rocket attacks.
