Kia Autoland Gwangju Donates Sponsorship Funds to Roksu Scholarship Foundation
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Kia Autoland Gwangju (Factory Manager: Park Rae-seok) held a ‘Roksu Scholarship Fund Donation Ceremony’ at the Gwangju City Hall conference room and announced on the 19th that it donated scholarships for the children of firefighters.
Kia expressed gratitude for the dedication of firefighters who protect the lives and property of the people and decided to donate 10 million KRW in scholarships to contribute to the stability of firefighters’ lives by supporting their children.
The donation ceremony was attended by related personnel including Lee Byung-jo, Kia Safety Facilities Manager; Kim Bong-gil, Chairman of the Roksu Scholarship Foundation; Go Min-ja, Director of Gwangju Metropolitan City Fire Safety Headquarters; and Yang Young-gyu, Chief of Gwangju Western Fire Station, adding prestige to the event.
A Kia official stated, “This donation was made to express our gratitude to firefighters who dedicate themselves to protecting the lives and safety of the people,” and added, “We will continue to strive to help improve the economic stability and morale of firefighters through ongoing support.”
Since 2012, Kia has held scholarship donation events for the children of firefighters and has continuously supported them, donating a total of 150 million KRW in scholarships to the Roksu Scholarship Foundation up to this year.
