Jungnang-gu Manguri History and Culture Park Temporary Screening Clinic Changed to Walk-Through
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) has switched the temporary screening clinic at Manguri Historical and Cultural Park, which was operated in a drive-thru format, to a walking-thru (on-foot testing) format starting from the 18th.
The drive-thru temporary screening clinic at Manguri Historical and Cultural Park was well received by many residents as it allowed safe COVID-19 testing while remaining in the car. However, with the rapid increase in confirmed cases and the growing number of people seeking tests, the clinic recently saw an average of about 900 visitors per day over the past month, causing significant inconvenience to nearby residents.
A district official stated, “Vehicle congestion extends over 1 km, causing business losses to shops located around Mangwoo-ro and severely infringing on the passage rights of residents in nearby residential areas. Students commuting to and from school are also exposed to safety risks,” adding, “More than 20 related complaints are received daily.”
Accordingly, the district will change from the drive-thru to the walking-thru method starting on the 18th. Operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and weekends. The clinic will close for disinfection from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., and registration will end at 5:30 p.m.

Ryu Gyeong-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “I sincerely thank the local residents who have endured the inconvenience to prevent the spread of COVID-19,” and added, “By switching to the walking-thru method, we will minimize inconvenience to visiting citizens and nearby residents, and testing will be safe and quick.”
