[Muan＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do received an Excellence Award in the 2021 Job Creation Outstanding City and County Evaluation hosted by Jeollanam-do, earning an incentive of 10 million won and an institutional commendation.

According to the county on the 17th, over the past year, the county was selected as an outstanding city and county through a first evaluation by a professional organization and a second evaluation committee review, covering 16 items in six areas including job budget securing, job creation for youth, middle-aged, and vulnerable groups, certification of excellent job companies, and policy projects.

Over the past year, the county proactively responded to job creation by securing a total budget of 8 billion won to support youth jobs (135 people), youth startup fostering (30 people), vulnerable group jobs (2,427 people), social economy enterprise fostering (12 companies), selection of excellent job companies (2 companies), and youth regional settlement funds (13 people).

Additionally, the county improved workers' welfare environment by launching the province's first working youth allowance (73 people, supporting health checkups, leisure, etc.) and employment succession incentives (9 companies).

In particular, this evaluation highly praised the establishment of a regional job ecosystem through the operation of the Smart Farm Industry Manufacturing Startup Innovation Center, scheduled to open in May next year, and the discovery of 11 sustainable new job projects through organic cooperation between the province's job specialized institutions and local universities.

County Governor Kim San stated, “We will strive to create a work-life balanced corporate culture to make a good working environment for companies and workers, and to ensure that job creation leads to population inflow.”
