Gwangju Nam-gu 'Happy Welfare 7979 Center' 92% Satisfaction
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] According to a survey, 92.4% of users of the ‘Happy Welfare 7979 Center’ operated by Nam-gu, Gwangju (District Mayor Kim Byung-nae) expressed satisfaction with the integrated welfare services provided by the center.
On the 16th, Nam-gu announced that the satisfaction rate for the ‘Center’s project content and services’ survey conducted to improve the quality of services at the Happy Welfare 7979 Center increased by 0.3% from last year’s 92.1% to 92.4%.
This survey was conducted online and in writing with 660 participants out of 2,410 users of the Happy Welfare 7979 Center services throughout this year.
By age group, 390 elderly users in their 70s and 80s participated, accounting for 59.1% of the total respondents, while those in their 60s and 50s were 89 (13.5%) and 85 (12.9%), respectively.
The most common way users first encountered the Happy Welfare 7979 Center services was through introductions by acquaintances, with 239 people (36.2%). This indicates the explosive response the center has received among residents since it opened in 2019.
Next, 222 people (33.6%) learned about the center through the Dong Administrative Welfare Center, and 134 people (20.3%) reported encountering the center through promotional materials such as posters issued by the center.
When asked about the purpose of using the services, 423 users (64.1%) responded that it was to request help from the 7979 Volunteer Group, such as installing gas safety shut-off devices and replacing electrical outlets, while 219 users (33.2%) said it was to seek welfare-related counseling and information.
Additionally, regarding whether the counseling services helped resolve applicants’ welfare needs, 90.3% responded that it was helpful, and satisfaction with the 7979 Volunteer Group’s handling of daily inconvenience issues was very high at 94.9%.
Furthermore, 94.2% of respondents indicated their intention to use the Happy Welfare 7979 Center again in the future.
District Mayor Kim Byung-nae stated, “As shown by the survey results, we plan to expand the activity areas of the 7979 Volunteer Group to maximize service satisfaction among center users and actively discover residents who wish to participate in volunteer activities. We will do our best to operate the center to create a happy welfare Nam-gu.”
