On the 16th, Shin Jong-woo, Deputy Mayor of Jinju City, announced at a briefing room in Jinju City Hall that it was decided to end the Namgang Yudeung Festival early while explaining the COVID-19 measures.
Earlier, considering the nationwide and provincial spread of COVID-19, Jinju City decided to temporarily suspend the festival for one week from 11 PM on the 12th to the 19th, and monitored the situation of confirmed cases.
Jinju City explained that since the nationwide spread of COVID-19 continues and the government announced strengthened social distancing measures on the 16th, the festival was decided to be ended early.
