Sunred Donates 40 Boxes to Frontline Workers Struggling with COVID-19
[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Heo Seok) announced on the 16th that it received consolation supplies (40 boxes of Sunred) at Cheonjaam of Songgwangsa Temple (Head Monk Beopung) for frontline workers struggling with COVID-19.
The Sunred delivered on this day is scheduled to be distributed to employees in busy departments, including the Suncheon City Health Center.
Monk Beopung has been encouraging and comforting those who are struggling and having a hard time by donating 50 boxes of Gijeong rice cakes and 20 boxes of Sunred in September and December last year.
Monk Beopung said, “Since the phased recovery of daily life, COVID-19 confirmed cases are increasing nationwide, so I am quite worried,” adding, “I hope Mayor Heo Seok, who has responded quickly and wisely, will handle this difficult COVID-19 situation well and bring it to a rapid stabilization.”
He continued, “Although citizens are also having a hard time, I want to share at least a small token of comfort with the employees who have been working hard on the front lines of COVID-19 for a long time.”
