Gwangju Seo-gu Selected as 'Best Institution' in Mom-Pyeonhan Pregnancy Integrated Service Evaluation

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Dae-seok) has been selected as the best institution in the government innovation customized ‘2021 Local Government Comfortable Pregnancy Integrated Service Evaluation’ conducted nationwide for local governments, receiving a special grant of 30 million KRW and an institutional commendation.

According to Seo-gu on the 16th, the Comfortable Pregnancy Integrated Service is a service that processes applications for 14 types of pregnancy-related services in an integrated manner through Government24 (Comfortable Pregnancy Service).

The Ministry of the Interior and Safety conducted the Comfortable Pregnancy Service nationwide for the first time this year to encourage continuous interest and cooperation from local governments. They evaluated the performance of local governments by separating metropolitan (city/province) and basic local governments (city/county/district), and among basic local governments, by city/county/district, assessing service application rates and other achievements, selecting 16 excellent local governments.

Seo-gu was selected as the best institution among 69 districts nationwide due to its high courier usage rate and the fact that it strengthened the service further to achieve the mayor’s pledge goal of ‘creating a childbirth and childcare environment favorable for having babies.’

A Seo-gu official said, “We will continue to minimize inconveniences for pregnant women by strengthening various life-cycle integrated services such as pregnancy, and do our best to create a Seo-gu that is good for having children through the expansion and implementation of various user-centered services.”
