‘A Warm Winter for Energy-Poor Households’…SBC Sharing Warmth Campaign
Delivery of Winter Supplies Such as Electric Blankets and Comforters to Energy-Poor Households
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] The Small Enterprise and Market Service announced on the 16th that it will conduct the '2021 Warmth Sharing' campaign in collaboration with the Happy Senior Welfare Center located in Dong-gu, Daejeon.
This campaign will be carried out around the end of the year with the joint participation of about 25 employees from the Service. Warm boxes (including electric blankets, quilts, etc.) and protective masks will be delivered to approximately 32 energy-poor households struggling with the cold winter weather.
Before the campaign, the Service will also hold an event to deliver about 40 calligraphy works containing messages of hope to small business owners exhausted by COVID-19. As part of the senior education program at the welfare center, seniors learned calligraphy and made frames themselves, intending to convey their hearts to local small business owners facing economic downturns and to the support organization, Small Enterprise and Market Service.
Chairman Jo Bonghwan stated, “We hope this Warmth Sharing activity will help local residents and small business owners exhausted by COVID-19,” and added, “We plan to continue efforts to revitalize the local community through various social contribution activities.”
