Steel Association Donates 10,000 Briquettes to Yeontan Bank
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] The Korea Iron & Steel Association announced on the 15th that it donated 10,000 briquettes to the Briquette Bank located in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, to support energy-vulnerable groups. The donation ceremony was attended by Byun Young-man, Vice Chairman of the Korea Iron & Steel Association, Heo Gi-bok, CEO of the Briquette Bank, and other officials.
The donated briquettes will be delivered to 67 households in the Seoul area, including elderly and low-income families vulnerable to the winter cold, to help them have a warm winter this year.
Byun Young-man, Vice Chairman of the Korea Iron & Steel Association, said, "This year, due to difficulties in conducting volunteer activities caused by the worsening COVID-19 situation, we had to replace them with donation activities. We hope that even a small amount of warmth can be delivered."
