[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Trainee Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Silla University has taken the initiative to strengthen the capabilities of faculty members at Philippine national universities through the 'Global Education Support Project' led by the National Research Foundation of Korea.
The Silla University Global Business Support Center jointly developed a training program with the Philippine Polytechnic University, a national vocational education university in the Philippines.
The program will be conducted online from the 15th to the 27th for 67 faculty members of Philippine universities.
The training was carried out at the request of the Philippine Polytechnic University, which designated Silla University as the training operation institution.
The Polytechnic University stated, "We requested the training after hearing about the achievements of the 'KOICA Philippine Higher Education Capacity Building Training Project' that Silla University has operated for three years."
During the training period, trainees will be educated on Korea's performance-based higher education system, the support system for teaching capabilities for university faculty, and evaluation methods for educational programs aimed at improving the quality of university education.
Silla University plans to introduce the faculty capacity-building program and share successful cases.
