Creating an Industry-Academia Cooperation Innovation City ... Busan City Signs 'Regional Industry Demand-Based JiSanHak Cooperation Business Agreement'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Busan City will sign a 'Regional Industry Demand-Based Industry-University Cooperation Agreement' with the Busan Science and Technology Council CTO (Chief Technology Officer) Council on the 16th.
The signing ceremony will be attended by Park Hyung-joon, Mayor of Busan, Lim Byeong-moon, Chairman of the CTO Council, Lee Soo-tae, CEO of Panasia, Lee Sang-jun, CEO of Fine, Jung Jin-geun, Chairman of Hyosung Electric, Lee Je-hoon, CEO of Korea Wire, Lee In-hwan, CEO of G-Bright, and Oh Rin-tae, CEO of Eden Tech.
The CTO Council, an organization under the Busan Science and Technology Council, is composed of representatives from 23 local companies.
The agreement aims for industry-university cooperation and talent development based on regional industry demand, including ▲ introduction of local talent development programs and priority hiring of local talent to improve the residential environment for local youth ▲ cooperation for growth and development of regional industries through active research and development and technological innovation ▲ discovery and dissemination of exemplary cases of industry-university cooperation to create an innovative industry-university cooperation city.
The first collaborative project launched based on the agreement is the 'Industry-University-Research Linked On-site Training Bridge Project.'
The project will involve companies affiliated with the CTO Council and local companies to provide local university students with opportunities for corporate on-site training and job competency enhancement.
The city plans to discover and spread exemplary cases of industry-university cooperation centered on the CTO Council. It also plans to continue collaboration focusing on creating an industry-university cooperation ecosystem.
