Hyundai Electric Receives 'Family-Friendly Company' Certification Selected by Ministry of Gender Equality and Family
Receiving Positive Evaluations for Various Welfare Programs Supporting Work-Life Balance
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Hyundai Electric, a power equipment and energy solutions affiliate of Hyundai Heavy Industries Group, announced on the 15th that it has been selected as a company that exemplary operates family-friendly systems and received the 2021 'Family-Friendly Company' certification from the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.
The Family-Friendly Company certification is a system that grants certification after reviewing companies that operate various systems and programs to help employees harmoniously balance work and family life.
Hyundai Electric received favorable evaluations for operating various 'Work-Life Balance (WLB)' systems to create a happy working environment for both employees and their families. A representative example is the introduction of the 'PC Off' system, which forcibly shuts down computers after working hours to encourage a culture of leaving work on time.
They also operate various systems to support pregnant and postpartum female workers. Through the 'Happy Mom Package Plan,' they provide welfare mall points worth 300,000 KRW to purchase necessary items during pregnancy, and separately pay recovery support funds upon childbirth.
Additionally, employee ID card lanyards are provided to indicate that pregnant women need consideration and accommodation even in early pregnancy, and paid half-day leave for regular fetal checkups is also in operation. Spousal paternity leave, parental leave, and reduced working hours during childcare periods can also be freely utilized. Furthermore, a workplace daycare center is operated to support child-rearing, and support is provided for children's tuition fees, early childhood education subsidies, and education expenses for children with disabilities.
