President Moon: "Visiting Australia for Mineral and Defense Cooperation... Both Countries Will Lead Change"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] President Moon Jae-in, returning home after a state visit to Australia, expressed his thoughts on the 15th, saying, "The two countries will overcome COVID-19, the climate crisis, and supply chain instability and lead new changes."
On the same day, President Moon posted on social networking service (SNS) a message titled "Leaving Australia," stating, "Visiting Australia, located in the southern hemisphere of the Earth with seasons opposite to ours, was for cooperation in mineral and rare earth supply chains and defense industry collaboration," and added, "We will share carbon-neutral technologies, cooperate on hydrogen, and jointly develop space."
President Moon emphasized, "Australia and we have grown into major countries in the international community, to the extent that we were invited together to the G7 last year and this year," and said, "We will closely cooperate for our expatriates and businesses."
