North Korea Confirms Death of Kim Il-sung's Sister Kim Yong-ju... Kim Jong-un Sends Condolence Wreath
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] It has been confirmed that Kim Yong-ju, honorary vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly and younger brother of North Korean leader Kim Il-sung, has passed away.
The Korean Central News Agency reported on the 15th, "Comrade Kim Jong-un expressed deep condolences on the death of Comrade Kim Yong-ju, a recipient of the Order of Kim Il-sung and the Order of Kim Jong-il and a Hero of the Republic, former honorary vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, and sent a wreath."
The agency explained, "Comrade Kim Yong-ju served in important positions of the Party and the state for a long time, devotedly struggled to implement the Party's line and policies, vigorously promoted socialist construction, and contributed to the solid development of our country's socialist system."
The wreath sent by Kim Jong-un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party, was laid before the deceased on the 14th.
