for three days
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Delivery app Yogiyo announced on the 14th that it will hold a food festival called 'Yogiyo Town,' which embodies the spirit of coexistence to overcome difficulties together with small business owners during the phased recovery period.
Yogiyo Town is held in collaboration with Yongsan District Office and the Itaewon Tourism Special Zone Association. It is a food festival where visitors can enjoy representative menus from famous restaurants nationwide while also supporting small business owners. The event will take place from the 17th to the 19th on Quynon-gil in Itaewon, Seoul.
Yogiyo explained that this event was organized to help revitalize the Itaewon alley commercial district, which has suffered greatly due to COVID-19, and to offer delicious enjoyment and experiences to customers together with small business owners from across the country as the year-end approaches. They plan to utilize the increased vacancies in the Itaewon area caused by COVID-19 to create Yogiyo Town, thereby adding vitality to the surrounding commercial districts.
More than 20 famous restaurants nationwide, who sympathize with the purpose of the event, will participate over the three-day event. Through this event, visitors can conveniently experience so-called 'restaurants worth lining up for' from Jeju to Busan, Sokcho, and Itaewon all in one place.
All orders and payments at Yogiyo Town will be made safely and conveniently through the Yogiyo app as takeout orders only. Additionally, approximately 120,000 eco-friendly containers will be provided so that Yogiyo consumers can enjoy their food while practicing eco-friendly culture. The full cost of the eco-friendly containers used at the event will be borne by Yogiyo.
